In 2012, PMU appointed the firm ekodev to carry out its first carbon audit, the results of which have allowed the company to structure its environmental approach and actions. This assessment also represented an opportunity for PMU to raise awareness of the challenges of climate change, the overconsumption of energy and responsible consumption methods among its employees.

New programmes to limit the impact of PMU’s activities on the environment have been set up: waste management, rationalisation of office printing, ticket eco-design, etc.

In 2013, an incentive was initiated to encourage the practice of car-sharing with the establishment of a dedicated website in partnership with BlaBlaCar. PMU also provides its employees with a centralised site for electric vehicles, enabling them to make their short journeys as environmentally friendly as possible. Additionally, in 2012/2013, the commercial fleet received eco-driving training.

And to contribute to biodiversity preservation, PMU has also had ekodev install two beehives on the roof of the company headquarters.
